Hej smidesvän antrablogger
Under sommaren har det tillkommit flera aktiviteter och idéer om vad som skall göras i september på smidesträffen i Granbergsdal.
Ett flertal personer har nu anmält sig till träffen för att både smida på hyttbläcket och festa i hammarsmedjan. Det finns platser kvar så missa nu inte att anmäla dig och skall du sova i den gamla skolan måste du anmäla det.
I år kommer vi att få besök från Sydafrika på träffen. Det är den internationellt kända konstsmeden Conrad Hicks som deltar under helgen! Han har just kommit hem från New York och ett arbete där för att nästan direkt flyga till www.antracit.se och träffen i Granbergsdal.
Lina Sundin, Melchior, Niko, Jussi och många fler kommer att smida på hyttbläcket och inne i själva hyttan kommer det att anordnas en utställning med Gesällprov från flera olika årtionden!! I dagsläget har vi samlat ihop 7st gesällprov inklusive 7r's svärd från Norge! Sjur kommer att delta på hyttbläcket med svärdsmide!
Utöver tävlingar inom smide blir det dessutom insamling till Antracit i form av "Iron in the hat" så släng inget "bra att ha" utan skänk det till en kollega istället!
Antracit och Smidesträffen i Granbergsdal har fått äran att utdela Gesällbrev till Gustav Karlsson, vilket kommer att ske på lördagen.
Detta är bara en liten del av alla aktiviteter som kommer att pågå under smidesträffen i Granbergsdal 19-20/9.
Alla är välkomana att besöka evenemanget men festen i hammarsmedjan måste man förboka sig.
Tidpunkter för evenemangen publiceras på Antracit under första veckan i september!!
Tveka inte att komma till smidesträffen och Granbergsdal, femte året i rad!

This is newsletters, number five for 2008
During the summer, there has been added a number of activities and ideas on what to do in September at the Blacksmith conference in Granbergsdal.
Several people have now signed up to do both forging on "hyttbläcket" and in "Hammarsmedjan", the blacksmithshop.
This year we will have visits from South Africa. It is the internationally known Blacksmith Artist Conrad Hicks from Cape Town that stays over the weekend! He has just come home from New York and a job there, and will almost immediately fly to www.antracit.se and the meeting in Granbergsdal.
Lina Sundin, Melchior, Niko, Jussi and many more will forge on "hyttbläcket" and inside the furnace house itself there will be an exhibition of "Gesällprov " apprentice work from several different decades! At present, we have gathered 7st apprentice work including 7r's sword from Norway! /r will be present at "hyttbläcket" to demonstrate svordsmithing!
In addition to competitions in forging there will be in addition fundraising to Antracite in the form of "Iron in the hat" so discard nothing "good to have", give it to a colleague instead!
We have got the honour to award "letter of apprentice" to Gustav Karlsson, which will take place on Saturday!
This is only a small part of all activities at the conference in Granbergsdal 19-20/9.
Everyone is welcome to visit the event, but the party in "Hammarsmedjan" the blacksmith shop, must be pre booked! And also if you need to sleep inside the old School!
Timing of events will be published on www.antracit.se during the first week of September!
